Hi there! Welcome to the Millie Holloman Photography blog. Our company has just one name, but we’re an entire team of crazy, creative, passionate, professional photographers. We’re based all over North Carolina (Wilmington, Raleigh, & Charlotte), but we work all over the world. What do we shoot? In one word: Love. Wedding Love. Baby Love. Family Love. Love of details. Love of design. Love of nature. And this blog? Well, it showcases the images, the people, and the stuff we want to share, both professionally and personally. So what are you waiting for? Come on in and look around.

We want you to get the most out of your time here, so here are a few helpful tips: Check out the text block above that says: “photographers”. Use it to get to know just one photographer better by sorting just their images, twitter updates or bio. Wondering who shot what? Look for the signature on the bottom left of each photograph. Looking for something specific? Type the topic or a keyword into the search bar above for related results.

diane + ed . bald head island, nc

07.21.10 ~ Weddings ~ posted by Rebecca

Diane and Ed are the kind of people who have never met a stranger. They are warm, genuine, and friendly, and every bit of that spilled over into their wedding day on Bald Head Island.

I met up with Diane and her bridesmaids at the spa on the island, where they were all getting their hair and makeup done by the talented staff there.

Even the flower girl got a little touch up while we were there. This girl cracked me up - she was a couple years older than your typical flower girl, but she told Diane that she could act like she was 6, just so she could be in the wedding. Who could say no to that?

Courtney came along to second shoot with me, and while I was with the ladies, she hung out with the guys. In typical guy fashion, while the girls have been getting ready for hours, they were playing around and goofing off. Oh, they have it so easy!

Ed, looking very handsome and relaxed - just as you should on your wedding day.

Kim Fisher was responsible for all the beautiful florals. I just love the unexpected touches - that seafoam green plant reminded me so much of coral. It was the perfect touch for an island wedding!

Talk about unique - on the left, that was the ringbearer's pillow. So fun!

Waiting for the signal to start walking down the aisle - these kiddos were so excited!

I always love the reactions that happen as the bride walks down the aisle. The people in the back row, who get the best view, at least for a while, the people straining to see from the front, and the groom, waiting in anticipation for his bride to turn the corner. Perfection.

The Shoals Club deck is such a gorgeous place to get married, don't you think?

And I think the smiles on Diane and Ed's faces say it all... such joy!

Diane, you are stunning!

Such a fun bridal party - you guys have the best friends!

I stole away with Diane and Ed for a little while after the ceremony for some pictures of just the two of them. It was such a gorgeous day - bright blue skies and near-100 degree heat to go along with it - but you wouldn't know it to look at them!

I love to shoot at the beach - the wind, the waves, the sand...

Thanks to Courtney for grabbing these lovely details while I was out with the couple. I love the color scheme and how everything just works so well together!

A sweet, sweet first dance...

With plenty of onlookers from the club's pool - dreaming of the day it will be their turn.

And then.... it was party time!

Diane and Ed - thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day! I had the best time, and I wish you all the best in your marriage!
