she said yes...

Today I had the awesome opportunity to photograph my good friend, Matt, proposing to his girlfriend, Jen. He called me earlier this week and told me of his plans to ask Jen for her hand in marriage. Being a photographer himself, he wanted to be sure to document the proposal and have some fun shots to remember the excitement of the day. This evening, I scoped out a perfect spot to shoot and waited close by hidden away until he dropped to one knee, then I walked up and photographed the day as it unfolded. What a fun moment to be a part of... Congratulations to Matt & Jen and best wished for stress free wedding planning. I am so happy for you both!




Once Jen said yes, Matt told her that her Mom and his Mom were there peaking through a hole in the side of an old shed.


Jen's friends were in town so they also got to witness the proposal. These girls are like sisters to her so I know she is glad they were able to share in the fun!


Matt had gone out to the pier on Thursday to carve their names into the wood, so I had to incorporate that into the ring shot!




This is one of their favorite spots to just sit and chat. In my opinion, it is one of the best views in Wilmington, overlooking the entire downtown right on the riverfront!






A quick group shot of the crew that was in on the big surprise. Tyler & Haley were a huge help in making my being there legit since the location was hard to hide at... I also took some photos of the two of them which will show up here on the blog soon!
